Thousand Polleras Parade on Saturday, January 11, 2014

The Parade of a Thousand Polleras will be held in Las Tablas on Saturday, January 11th at 4:00 p.m. Around 10,000 participants wearing the traditional pollera outfit, musical ensembles, carnival groups, and drummers are expected to participate in this extraordinary folk event.

The Parade of a Thousand Polleras is promoted and supported by the Panama Tourism Authority as a tourist product that will attract thousands of visitors to the Azuero Peninsula, filling hotel rooms and reactivating the regional economy.

The Honorable Deputy Tito Afú pointed out that the parade maintains the traditional forms of dress of both men and women and the use of the national costume. "Las Tablas awaits you on January 11th to hear our music and see the splendor of thousands of polleras sewn ​​by Panamanian artisans," invited Afú.
