Discover the magic in Los Quetzales

Los Quetzales Ecolodge, found at 2,200 meters (7,260 ft) above sea level, is an ecological paradise in the midst of a highland cloud forest. Here you can taste the most delicious and healthy organic vegetables grown locally.

Up on the highest point within the Barú Volcano National Park, you will have the opportunity to live a majestic experience in a climate that ranges from 23º C on a sunny day to 7º C on the chilliest summer nights.

Los Quetzales Ecolodge & Spa is located in Guadalupe, 70 km. from the city of David in Panama, an hour and a half drive in car or taxi, or two and a half hours by bus. It is 450 km. from Panama City.

How to arrive

  • Car:  It is a 7 hour drive from the capital city on the Pan-American Highway. To go from David to Guadalupe, turn right to head northwards until you reach the town of Concepción in Bugaba, which is 22 km. from David. Continue on the highway to Volcán, where you will take the road that goes past the police station (on your righthand side) and on to Cerro Punta. Once in Cerro Punta, you will find the Ecolodge Resort at the intersection with Guadalupe.
  • Bus: Upon arriving at Tocumen International Airport, take a taxi to Albrook National Bus Terminal and there look for a bus with direct service to the city of Chiriquí.
