On April 4th the first charter flight will arrive with 170 passengers to the Río Hato Scarlett Martínez International Airport, as confirmed by the Director of Civil Aviation, Rafael Bárcenas. 

Convening under the theme “Opening Pathways for Shared Progress”, the World Economic Forum on Latin America, to take place on April 1-3 in Panama City, will bring together more than 600 leaders from government, industry, civil society, and academia from over 50 nations to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the region.


It appears that Air France made the right decision in initiating direct flights to Panama.

In the first two months of 2014, the tourism sector in Panama received a total of 455,640 visitors from the various ports of entry, representing a 3.5% increase over the same period last year and an additional 15,589 travelers.

Iberia will be augmenting its air connectivity from Madrid to Panama to six frequencies starting on Monday, June 2nd, and as of Sunday, July 6th there will be daily flights.
