The fair's growth is also due to the strategic alliances formed with other organizations. This year the Panama Gastronomica 2013 and the Microbrew Fest, an event that promotes the production and consumption of artisanal beers, are coming together to create one special event. Attendees will be able to taste more than 22 varieties of local and international beers, while accompanying these beverages with the foods they best complement.
This is not to say that the renowned congress will not take place this year, however. Under the theme of "Cooking in the Digital Age", it will be held in an intimate setting and follow for the first time the Chefs Unplugged format. Four thematic conference sections will highlight new culinary trends, featuring as keynote speakers the Peruvian chefs Pedro Miguel Schiaffino and Hajime Kasuga, important exponents of their Andean country's cuisine.
