The approval meeting of the abbreviated tender for the best offer will be held on June 12, and the proposal is scheduled to be delivered on June 21.
Decameron Group commented that it is only waiting for construction on this project to start so that it may give the green light to begin building its hotel on the Atlantic coast.
The hotel group is planning a 320-room beach resort located on Punta Cocoye, in the town of Santa Isabel, which would require an investment of $50 million in the first phase.
ATP administrator Salomón Shamah explained that the project is not designed to benefit anybody in particular, but is part of the 2007-2020 master plan for tourism.
As of now, Santa Isabel can only be reached from Cuango by boat.
