Panamanian Pride - Old Panama Craft Center

Next to the ruins of Old Panama is one of the most popular craft markets among locals and foreigners alike, packed with handicrafts representing cultures from across the country. You can find anything from a bracelet made by a Guna indian to a hand-carved horse saddle, including textiles, pottery, wood carvings, and many other attractive articles.

This craft market also helps various communities by training and certifying artisans from around the country so that they can offer their products to the public. In addition, it helps certify jailed craft workers in order for them to also be able to sell their creations, with the proceeds going to the inmates' families and the prison system.
