"Safe Cabins" in El Valle de Anton

A new sign right along the main highway at the entrance to El Valle de Anton, a mountain resort destination, announces the phrase "Safe Cabins."

You might wonder why anyone would be announcing "safe cabins" here, the safest of natural destinations, where people still smile, greet each other and leave their doors unlocked at night.

The explanation is very simple. The owner is Alberto Segura, who has creatively used his last name as the name of his business before his foray into tourism, to convey the idea that business with him, besides being safe, is also fun. He is now retired but never unoccupied. Albert chose a residence on a pretty green terrain, where he and his wife live in the main house and attend to the guests who come to stay in the simple and comfortable rooms that are located throughout the property.

The accommodations are simplistic, but cover the needs of any traveler: a comfortable bed, hot water and cable TV (no need for air conditioning at this altitude, just a fan). The common areas make the place seem like a home. There is an outdoor kitchen available for guests to use, barbecues, lots of garden furniture, a children's area and a cabin. And all for $44 night per couple, which makes one want to stay forever.

Safe Cabins is located on the left side of the main road entering El Valle, 50 meters before the Mini Super Hong Kong. Call 908-7365 or 6611-8365 or write to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
