Azuero Fair concludes with good records

Some 236,772 people, bringing in $435,931 at the box office, entered the Azuero International Fair (FIA) during its 11 days of activity.

Maximino Cedeño, director of the Box Office Commission, pointed out that to this number should be added the 9,772 students who entered the fair in school uniforms for no cost, the 1,159 people who performed on stage, and the 5,222 who entered during the 11-day fair, whether to work or sell in the various stands. "All those people also came to the fair to spend," he emphasized.

Cedeño explained that 217,243 visitors paid to enter in 2011, resulting in a revenue of $397,394.

The FIA took place in La Villa de Los Santos, from April 26 to May 6, 2012. The director stated that the additional income received this year will be used to cover the costs of electricity.
