Cerro Punta

Located nearly 2,000 meters above sea level, in a valley surrounded by densely forested mountains, Cerro Punta is the city at the highest elevation of all of Panama, and is frequently engulfed in clouds. Since it was founded, agricultural production has expanded so rapidly that the region currently produces 80 percent of all vegetables consumed in the country.

Cerro Punta is located along the main highway from David and the road that leads to International Friendship Park.

How to arrive?

Plane

David is a one hour flight away from Panama City.

Bus: You can take buses that depart the terminal in David every half hour, and can bring you to Cerro Punta in an hour and a half.

Car: If traveling by car from Panama City, David is 440 kilometers away and Cerro Punta is another 40 kilometers.
