Cébaco

Cébaco Island, located in the Gulf of Montijo, is the perfect spot to escape from the world and enjoy the incredible sound of silence that nature will provide. Cébaco is a peaceful place, with calm people and miles of pristine beaches.

During the months of September and October you will be able to sight whales and sea turtles. Only on this island will you find such different types of beaches, from peaceful to battered with strong waves (2 meters) perfect for surfing.

Location: 

Cébaco is an island located in southwestern Panama, specifically to the south of the Gulf of Montijo, on the Pacific Ocean side. It is south of the province of Veraguas and some 15 km west of the Azuero Peninsula. It has an area of 80 km2 and is the third largest island in the country.

How to arrive?

Boat: To get to Cébaco Island, you can leave from Malena Beach at Port Mutis (in the Gulf of Montijo) or from Santa Catalina Beach. You must first reach Mariato, a town south of Veraguas, accessed from the entrance to Atalaya, near the city of Santiago. In Santiago you can take a bus to Mariato.
