Located in the Pacific, south of the province of Veraguas, within the area of Coiba National Park, with an area of 270,125 hectares that protect marine, coastal and island ecosystems. Within this park are the insular areas of Coiba Island, Ranchería (Coibita) Jicarón, Jicarita, Afuerita, Canal de Afuera, Uvas, Contreras and Brincanco (153,582 hectares), as well as marine areas (216,543 hectares), making it one of the largest marine parks in the world.
How to arrive?
Plane:You can arrive from Panama City by air to the city of Santiago in approximately 20 minutes.
Car: It is a 5 hour drive (245 kilometers). Once in Santiago, take the highway (25 km) to Puerto Mutis, to there transfer to a boat to reach the island.
