Tourism generates 200 billion dollars

Tourism in the Americas generates revenues of $200 billion dollars from around 160 million international tourists, confirmed Carlos Vogeler, Director for the American Region at the World Tourism Organization. According to the organization, America receives 16% of tourist arrivals worldwide and 20% of the monetary resources. Tourism in this region, specifically South America and Central America, is growing at a pace faster than the world average.
