Last week the promotion "Chiriquí is an adventure" was presented, which will be valid until December 31 and includes the participation of 32 hotels and the airline AirPanama.
Within the next several days will be the presentation of "Pedasí, a charming town".
Those interested in visiting the destination can obtain more affordable prices at the 11 hotels operating in Pedasí, as part of the promotional package.
Ernesto Orillac, deputy administrator of the ATP, indicated that a $1 million dollar agreement with the advertising group Marquez Worldwide remains in effect for the promotion of the country's interior.
This budget covers funding for the various promotions that have been announced. In the case of Chiriquí, the campaign will cost $84,000 dollars.
This same promotion scheme was implemented in Bocas del Toro, with the "Bocas Combo" campaign that is still valid. In October the "Escape to The Valley" promotion ended.
Meanwhile, other destinations have not been as lucky. Vasco Torres, president of the Veraguas Chamber of Tourism, pointed out that two years ago he designed a campaign to highlight the province's destinations, but so far no promotion has materialized. "We have sent letters to the government and the advertising company regarding the issue, but we have not received any response," said the businessman.
