Heavily-attended Flower Fair

The first three days of the International Fair of Flowers and Coffee in the city of Boquete registered some 17,470 visitors, who have left approximately $40,181 dollars in revenue, said the chairman of the fair board, Reynaldo Serracín.

According to the organizers, around 120,000 people are expected to enter the fairgrounds during the 10-day fair. Agricultural Development Minister Óscar Osorio inaugurated the fair last Thursday, January 10, and it will extend until Sunday, January 20. “The climate has very much been in our favor, because it hasn't rained, and this allows more people to come to the fair,” said Serracín.

He affirmed that the colorful gardens and pleasant weather motivate many people to travel to Boquete.
