Devil Festival
It's coming up. Next February 16, the Devils and Congos Festival will take place in Portobelo, Colon Province. During this festival, the streets and squares will become stages to reenact the grand theatrical history of "The Devils and Congos", written by the townspeople, an oral tradition passed down from parents to children.
It recounts how life was in the era of Spanish colonial slavery. This important cultural event will be held for the eighth time. Tourists and locals will enjoy an atmosphere saturated in culture and traditions that are preserved through such activities.
