'Aida' coming to Panama

An investment of over $100,000 dollars was required to bring Aida to Panama, and, as reported by the producers, they had to wait 10 years for Disney to cede the rights so that the famous musical by Elton John & Time Rice could be performed in Panama, due to the high level of standards upheld for quality.

Supported by INAC, the show will be presented at the National Theater from Monday, July 15 to Saturday, July 20 at 8 o'clock in the evening. Under the direction of Aarón Zebede and with musical direction by the master Dino Nugent, Aida brings more than 50 artists to the stage and a star-studded cast of leaders in the performing arts and entertainment arenas, such as Janelle Davidson, Leonte Bordanea, Cristina De La Fuente, Randy Domínguez, Roberto Thomas, Lucho Gotti, Odette Versailles, and Miguel Herrera.

The producers stressed that everything will be performed live, as nothing is pre-recorded, and that proceeds will benefit two charity organizations: Fundación Juventud Casa Esperanza and Jesús Luz de Oportunidades.

Ticket prices range from $15 to $75 dollars. Show time is at 8 p.m.
