Azuero is a beautiful peninsula and the bigger in size in Panama, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the south and west and by the Panama Gulf to the east. It is constituted by the provinces of Herrera and Los Santos and a portion of the province of Veraguas. The Peninsula is located 156 miles from Panama City and goes deep into the Pacific Ocean, to the south. This region is known to celebrate more festivals, bringing up their rooted traditions, than any other region in the country. This is the main reason as to why this region is known as the cradle of national folklore, besides; it is one of the spots that is filled with paradise like beaches. It is the ideal place to spend your vacations.
