Trump inaugurates his hotel in Panama

The grand opening of the long awaited “Trump Ocean Club International Hotel Tower Panama” took place yesterday at a cost of 430 million dollars, with an opening ceremony where the tycoon and legendary owner of the “Miss Universe” beauty contest, was present: Donald Trump.

Trump arrived with his retinue, among them his sons, and on the first row, our president Ricardo Martinelli.

The opening was characterized by a heavy rain that flooded the nearby streets of the hotel.

At the ceremony, the millionaire declared that the hotel inaugurated in Panama is the sixth in the “Trump Collection” chain and the very first outside of the United States.

He highlighted the dimensions of the building; nevertheless, he added that in addition to the size, the most important aspect is the quality of the hotel structure, which rises in Punta Pacifica, in the capital of the country.

In addition, he noted that “the hotel reservations are going through the roof” and that spending more time in Panama, is among his plans.

For his part, the head of state, Ricardo Martinelli informed that the “Miss Universe” will be held in Panama City, in 2013 – specifying that – “due to the success of the previous two versions in 1986 and 2001.”
Martinelli highlighted how inexpensive was for Trump to build his hotel in Panama, as a building like this in any other part of the world would have cost 1.5 billion dollars.

The Trump Ocean Club International has 369 rooms and 47 suites. It was designed by the Architect’s firm Arias Serna Saravia and developed by Newland International Properties Corp.
