The event will be held at the Coopeve Convention Center in Santiago

More than 50 artisans from 10 countries will participate in the first Latino Festival of Crafts (FINLART), to be held from February 8th to February 12th in the city of Santiago, Province of Veraguas. The event is organized by the Agro Artisanal Producers Association of Veraguas (APAAVE). Artisans from Costa Rica, Peru, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Chile, Paraguay, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, and Uruguay will be attending this event.

The image of the country in the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) was strengthened by the alliance with operators such as Orizonia.

Find good partners and invest in promotion are the key factors within the tourism strategy of a company or country. In the case of Panama, shared advertising system has been beneficial, because it has greater coverage in international markets, including Europe.

Panama will leave the International Tourism Trade Fair Fitur 2012 with its hands full. During the first three days of activities, the country has managed to get two awards from the representatives of the event as well as attracted the attention of thousands of visitors and international developers. The first award that Panama won was the Innovation Award, given to the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) by Editorial Grupo Excelencias of Europe, as a result of its convention center, 30-day free insurance for tourists and the website www.visitpanama.com

Yesterday afternoon and much of the evening, the colors of the various styles of the Panamanian Pollera (a gaily colored costume worn by women during fiestas in Latin-American countries) further filled the City of Boquete, celebrating the First Pollera, Coffee, and Flowers Festival.

 

"We are pleased with what was the first attempt to showcase the best of Boquete to those who attended the event today, many of whom came especially to see this show," Gregorio Gonzalez, Provincial Director of the National Institute of Culture said.

 

 

The North Dock of the Tocumen Airport was officially inaugurated at a cost of $100 million. This is one of the two areas of the expansion and remodeling program of the main air terminal in Panama.  

This dock, which adds 12 new ports and increases 50% of passenger traffic, allows positioning the Tocumen International Airport in one of the most modern airport in the region.
