This month in Panama the Central America  Travel Market Fair (CATM) took place. This is an technical-professional encounter where professionals of the tourism industry from all over the world gather in one place to learn about what Central America tourism has to offer. This is the place where providers and exhibitors from all over the region present their offerings to buyers and the press. This year, the event took place in Panama, at the ATLAPA conventions center. In this event, several business relations are created between tourism professionals. The most important markets in the world, like Europe, Asia, North America, among others, come to buy the most exciting and popular tourist tours.

Between the objectives of the fair are the promotion of the region as a highly competitive and multi-destination tourism venue in the international markets, the increase of the Central America market-share of international tourists, in turn creating more jobs in the tourism sector, higher incomes and the promotion of local development in Central America.
