Starting from June, there will be direct flights from abroad to Isla Colon, in Bocas del Toro as final destination, said the Administrator of the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), Solomon Shamah.
Shamah stated that “we will incorporate it [this destination] with the Copa Vacaciones,” as part of a national air connectivity project that seeks to promote tourist arrivals into the interior of the country
The event will be held at the Coopeve Convention Center in Santiago
More than 50 artisans from 10 countries will participate in the first Latino Festival of Crafts (FINLART), to be held from February 8th to February 12th in the city of Santiago, Province of Veraguas. The event is organized by the Agro Artisanal Producers Association of Veraguas (APAAVE). Artisans from Costa Rica, Peru, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Chile, Paraguay, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, and Uruguay will be attending this event.

Panama will leave the International Tourism Trade Fair Fitur 2012 with its hands full. During the first three days of activities, the country has managed to get two awards from the representatives of the event as well as attracted the attention of thousands of visitors and international developers. The first award that Panama won was the Innovation Award, given to the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) by Editorial Grupo Excelencias of Europe, as a result of its convention center, 30-day free insurance for tourists and the website www.visitpanama.com
Yesterday afternoon and much of the evening, the colors of the various styles of the Panamanian Pollera (a gaily colored costume worn by women during fiestas in Latin-American countries) further filled the City of Boquete, celebrating the First Pollera, Coffee, and Flowers Festival.
"We are pleased with what was the first attempt to showcase the best of Boquete to those who attended the event today, many of whom came especially to see this show," Gregorio Gonzalez, Provincial Director of the National Institute of Culture said.
