The Panamanian bobsled team, Spirit of Panama, completed the third heat of the Bobsled and Skeleton World Championship with a time of 1:08.47 minutes, a record that put them in 32nd place in the competition.

The duo comprised of driver Eduardo Fonseca and brakeman Jonathan Romero struggled to get a good head start. They managed to recover a few seconds on the course, but it was not sufficient to move ahead.

Spirit of Panama finished their three runs with a total time of 3:24.70 minutes, some 7.26 seconds slower than the German leaders, Friedrich and Baecker. Their time was not fast enough to put them in the top 20 and advance to the fourth and final heat of the competition.
