ATP and 15 companies in Berlin Fairz

The ITB Berlin Fair is one of the world's most important travel trade shows this season. The Panama Tourism Authority and 15 representatives of the private sector are participating in the event alongside 11,000 other exhibitors from 180 countries, and will be visited by some 165,000 people over the four days of the fair.

From its modern and eye-catching stand, Panama offers interested buyers and visitors the latest tourist attractions. The diverse products are displayed by destinations for sun and sand, shopping or visits to indigenous groups. Such features as the new international airports and venues for business and corporate conventions, offering good services in a modern city, are also showcased at the country's exhibition area in the fair.

Tourist insurance, air connectivity and the celebratory event of the V Centenary of the Discovery of the South Sea are additional elements being promoted for Panama tourism.

In 2012 up to 14,000 German tourists visited Panama, an increase of 12% over the previous year. In all, 145,500 European tourists entered the country through Tocumen International Airport.
