Panamanian tourist attractions to be promoted in Brazil

Participation in the World Travel Market is part of the country's promotional strategy for South American countries.

Twelve Panamanian companies, led by the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), will exhibit at the Word Travel Market Latin America 2013, to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from April 23 to 25 this year.

The diverse Panamanian tourism appeals will be displayed by culture, cuisine, shopping, conventions, sun and beach, ecotourism and additional segments in the wide range of tourism attractions that Panama offers as a world-class travel destination.

Tourists can be offered the trip of their dreams with the country's beaches, the capital that has turned into a metropolis with the latest market trends, infrastructure developments with cutting-edge technology and construction of new airports and a convention center as a venue to host conferences and congresses, all part of the benefits that Panama will bring to the table in Sao Paulo to continue positioning the country as one of the top tourist destinations across the Latin American region.

The three-day World Travel Market Latin America 2013, considered one of the most emblematic exhibition events for the tourism industry in the continent's southern cone, will attract over 1,000 exhibitors and 7,000 visitors.

According to figures from the Panama Tourism Authority, in 2012 a total of 2,086,007 visitors entered the country, of which 699,922 came from South America, attracted by the wide range of products that the isthmus offers to tourists.
