The Equinox will return to port on the 29th, and Vision of the Seas will be making weekly departures from its home port every Friday of that month, bound for Cartagena, Aruba, and Curaçao. The 2013 to 2014 cruise season has 135 ships scheduled to land in Panama.
The highlight of this month is the arrival of the cruiser Wind Spirit to Colón from March 9 to 23. On the itinerary of this luxury cruise ship, with 73 cabins, 148 passengers, and 90 crew members, are a trip across the canal, a visit to the island of Coiba, and a stop at the ports of Costa Rica.
In the year 2013, a total of 373,505 passengers disembarked cruises in Panamanian ports and injected U.S. $43.7 million into the country's economy.
