As of this month, Iberia bumps its direct flight between Madrid and Panama City up to six weekly frequencies, and by July it may be able to offer a daily flight to passengers on this route. Iberia also operates trips from Madrid to Costa Rica, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese carrier TAP has announced that on July 2nd its first direct flight from Lisbon will arrive in Panama, launching a service of three weekly flights. At the same time, Lufthansa plans to start operating a direct flight between the German city of Dusseldorf and the Panamanian capital.
These significant developments are in addition to the already established routes offered by Air France, with three weekly flights from Paris, and the Dutch airline KLM, with a daily flight from Amsterdam.
