27,086 people visited Panama Craft Fair

Admission to the XXXVII National Craft Fair recently held in Panama exceeded expectations, as a total of 27,086 visitors attended this event.

"It is astonishing how much support Panamanians and foreigners gave to the Panamanian artisans. In 2013 a total of 24,089 people entered the fair grounds, which in comparison with the 2014 figure reflects an additional entry this year of 2,997 visitors," highlighted the Vice Minister of Domestic Trade and Industry of Panama, Manuel Grimaldo.

"Collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MICI), through their General Directorate of Handicrafts, and with the private sector and artisans was key in achieving positive results at the fair," explained Grimaldo, who considers their teamwork this year a source of pride.
